After the first national lockdown, Charlie and her good friend wildlife filmmaker Ben Harris set themselves a challenge of swimming for 31 days throughout July. Using it as a way to rewild their souls and reconnect to nature, Charlie shares her personal story behind how swimming changed her life forever.
Unbelievable Moments Caught on Camera
In 2019 Charlie rescued a green sea turtle on a beach in Oman. The rescue video went viral and has been viewed over 70 million times online. Sharing the story behind this incredible rescue, Charlie was interviewed for ITV's Unbelievable Moments Caught on Camera which was screened on national TV in May 2020.
In 2018 Charlie joined the OceanGeographic expedition to the Coral Triangle where she led research to assess plastic pollution in this area. Charlie presented a documentary on her work which was screened in a four-part symposium across Asia and presented by Jenifer Hayes, David Doublet and Dr Sylvia Earle. The documentary was chosen for the Melbourne Zoo Film Festival (2020) and screened alongside other documentaries such as Chasing Coral.
