A frustrated scientist wishing to break out of the academic eco chamber, Charlie decided to use social media as a creative means to disseminate complex science, and educate and inspire audiences about the thing she loves most - the ocean.

Since taking the plunge, Charlie has grown her “digital piece of blue” into a 40,000 strong following, with followers ranging from across the globe.

Although her accounts are primarily dedicated to science, conservation and exploration, Charlie also feels passionately about lending her channels to promoting brands, businesses and organisations challenging the consumeristic wheel, and driving industry change from within.

Charlie is a firm believer that businesses have a corporate environmental responsibility to minimise or eliminate their negative impact on the environment. Through her channels Charlie wants to celebrate those championing change and help her followers make better choices about what, where and who they buy from.

  • Feel Good Drinks - Ambassador

    Together with Project Seagrass and Feel Good Drinks Charlie helped amplify this campaign and raise funds towards protecting and restoring seagrass meadows across the UK coastline. This included delivering educational talks at festivals, crafting bespoke content for social media and presenting campaign videos educating and inspiring people about this super plant and its importance.

  • GoPro - Hero 11 Campaign

    Joining the GoPro team as a sponsored creator, Charlie is in the process of capturing content with the Hero 11 to demonstrate this latest model’s capabilities, whilst showcasing the wonder and beauty of the underwater world.
